Vegetarian menu is NOT vegetarian! I know, traditionally pho is not vegetarian. However, nowadays many traditional restaurants offer vegetarian friendly options on their menus. Nope, not here. Before trying a new restaurant, I make sure they have options for me or are willing to accommodate me. I call ahead and make sure and calling ahead to this place was no different. After looking through their menu we ordered the tofu spring rolls (A-10), which were okay. My boyfriend, who is a meat eater, ordered a P-5 and he found it also just okay and a bit bland. I ordered off of their vegetarian menu, a noodle pho with lots of fresh vegetables (V-1). After returning home with our take-out, I asked my bf to taste the broth to make sure it was vegetarian. After letting it sit for a moment, I noticed meat particles settling at the bottom. I called the restaurant again and asked the owner if the vegetarian pho was made with a veggie broth or if it was a meat broth. The owner stated that they only use beef broth even though earlier she insisted that the veggie pho was indeed vegetarian. I was about to explain to her that her menu is misleading and that her "vegetarian pho" is not at all vegetarian and shouldn't be included in that portion of the menu. But she hung up on me mid sentence. So not only does this place have an incorrect menu, they were unprofessional, had terrible service, and we weren't given an apology let alone a refund. I don't appreciate being mislead and wasting money on something I can't even enjoy. On a brighter note, I have found one place with a legit vegetarian pho in Jacksonville. It's called A Little Bit of Saigon, and their food is amazing! We wanted to branch out and try a new place, but unfortunately it did not work out. I guess we'll stick with what we know.

Came here after reading Yelp reviews. Did NOT disappoint. Got the Tofu and Veggie Pho (V-1) and egg rolls. Egg rolls were crisp, hot, and delicious. Try some garlic chili sauce on them and prepare for the heat! The Pho was awesome. The broth was fresh and "clean." Flavorful without a ton of salt. Veggies were crisp and plentiful. Added plenty of chili peppers and garlic chili sauce. Wife got the grilled chicken salad as an appetizer. Chicken was tender and moist. Just a hint of dressing which was light and fresh. Wife got the Pho Ga. Luckily for me she added too much chili sauce and she allowed me to devour the rest. Chicken again was moist and tender. Broth was just a tad sweet but with a little fish sauce and some more peppers it was on point. Definitely worth the quick drive from Jacksonville.

We have been coming here for a few years, I forgot to review because they seem like family. Nice family owned authentic Vietnamese. The food is always the same, always good! Pho is awesome! We had the p-16 and 17 today. The beef appetizer was a nice addition! Thank you guys. Please try and keep the local family places up and running!!

It's hidden off Mayport Road across from a Greek Diner. It's small and unassuming- all good things in my book. You sit down, order an ice cold bottle of Tsingtao and head straight for the pho. Minutes later- something arrives. What's this? An unrequested bonus salad consisting of a lip-smacking chili vinaigrette, herbs and lotus root? Why thank you. Then the pho arrives. It's rare beef piled high, it's anisey-ness teasing your nostrils with every breath (like a Police song). Flavor is super balanced, nothing over powering. Great fresh herbs on side, including culantro (bonus). Banh mi's are also super deelish. Try the grilled pork. Fuggedaboudit. Go.

We have been eating at this restaurant for about two years now. It's the best bowl of pho around and the vermicelli salads are amazing!! Everything we have tried on the menu is great. It's a small, quaint place run by a wonderful family, they remember us and our 'usual' order, which makes you feel at home!!

First Pho experience. GREAT. Did takeout, extremely fast and came with everything I needed on a rainy Florida evening.

One of the best pho places around Jacksonville!! Pho here is very good. They give out good portions for the right price! Manager and cook Very friendly, servers very nice

Fantastic pho. Great little place. Looks very unassuming from the street but it's worth a stop in. We had vermicelli and pho and both of us were too busy eating to talk. We will be back !

I can't believe I've never left a review for this place. My hubby and I used to come here weekly, unfortunately I am too busy at work to come by here as often BUT this is definitely my go to place for comfort food. I love coming here and I am never disappointed with price, quality, or quantity. I absolutely love this place!

First time here. I liked the atmosphere, food and service very well. Will be returning with my husband next time.

At first i thought this place is no good coz its too small, i guess dont judge the book by its cover :) The food are phenominal! No doubt its one of the best pho in town Although the downside is the place is too small, that's why u gonna call 1st before headin One thing that u will coming back for more is because you wanna try everything, their menu is infinite!! Lol

Small restaurant in unfortunate location, but the food and service are great. No alcohol for sale on site, but I saw other tables with BYO wine. If you're heading north on Mayport Road, you won't see the place, as they're in a strip mall that is perpendicular to the street, and the street signage is small. Look for "Nick the Greek", they share the same parking lot. If you head out via Wonderwood, and are heading south on Mayport Road, you'll have to make a U-turn about a block south to get there, as there's no median cut. Prices are very reasonable, ambiance is a notch or two above "Spartan." The other reviews have covered anything I might add, except that I look forward to return visits.

Oh, so very good! We got the shrimp spring rolls, and then we got the beef broth pho, which was spectacular! So hit the spot. Love supporting a hole in the wall, mom and pop type place, with authentic food. Best pho in the area! Also, excellent Vietnamese limeade!

I have to admit, I was hesitat to try Pho Viet in the past but I am so glad I finally gave in and tried it! We are now regulars here! We have tried the vegetable spring rolls, pho, vermicelli, beef lettuce wraps, lotus root salad, etc. I have had Pho before at another local Jacksonville place and I really enjoyed Pho Viet's much better nothing else compares! The vegetables tasted and looked fresh that came with the Pho and the broth and noodles were just right. The Spring rolls were delicious and the dipping sauce was very authentic tasting, which I enjoyed. The service was great and is run by a mother and son who did a nice job of over seeing each table and making sure we were taken care of.

It seems like you always find the best food in random spots. This particular Pho joint is situated in a pretty bleak little strip mall with a greek restaurant and little, if anything, else. The restaurant itself is a basic restaurant without anything fancy, but very home-y. In fact, the place is run by a family and tastes as if you are part of it: authentic. The father is chef, mother as hostess, and sons as waiters and cashiers. You will be very well taken care of here. As for the food, it was just me eating and I had a hankering for some beef pho. The meat itself was surprisingly tender and the broth wasn't overwhelming. Very well balanced. The anise flavor noticeable and delicious. The pho is served with all the fixins like you would expect: mint, bean sprouts, and the like.. Put in some sriracha if you're willing to kick it up a notch!!

  • Deepan M.

At first glance this is a typical Vietnamese restaurant. Usually a hole in the wall with great food! The best one's usually are. Pho is usually all I ever get since I am an addict. The broth was fair, a little sweeter then I like but they had the herbs and spice that I needed on the table. The service was fast and polite. It is always all about the broth and that is why I gave an average rating. I have tried pho all over so this is probably perfect for the Jacksonville crowd with little experience in pho.

  • Tracey G.

Seriously awesome Vietnamese food. Unfortunately, I don't know if their pho is good because I actually don't care for pho! I love the rice dishes :) I usually get grilled pork or beef rib. Theirs is sooo good and CHEAP! Which makes it even better. Very small place, 8 tables at the max I believe. Located in a strip mall in Mayport. I swear, this strip mall has 3 gems at the beach; nick the greek, home plate diner and pho viet. All awesome and affordable :)

  • Scottie T.

My first Vietnamese restaurant experience and I was very pleased. I had the egg rolls and vermicelli noodles with grilled beef and shrimp. The food was great overall. I will be back.

Finally, Vietnamese at the beach! we've been left out on the East side when it comes to Pho out any other delectible treat these guys cook up. I always have Bun Bo Hue, wherever I go... Its awesome here, for sure. totally small, total mom and pop running this place. food is great; nothing fancy. Just the way I like it.

Tried this place a few weeks ago. They were friendly and had a great selection on the menu. We sat in had some HUGE bowls of Pho. I usually pay more for a similar place in town but they're not half as good as Pho Viet. I'm happy I found them and I'll be making several more visits.

Good food at a good price. If you like meat this family run business is the place for you. I would have liked more vegetariamn options myself, but overall, it was good.

Feeling very under the weather one night recently, I thought pho would be the perfect meal. I had heard great things about pho viet and considering it is right near my house I decided to try it. Boy, am I glad I did! I chose p19, the well done flank steak and rare flank steak pho along with the pork bahn mi. Both were excellent. The pho broth had great flavor and the bahn mi was tasty. My fiance had the combo fried rice and very much enjoyed his dinner as well. And the price was unmatchable! We will definitely be back.

Worst pho in Jax hands down. Great service and other food is decent. Just don't get their pho.

Fabulous place with great food and friendly service. The Pho was amazing! We had the flank and it was absolutely delicious. The spring rolls were also phenomenal since they were made with mint leaves and were served with a fresh homemade peanut sauce. A must if you live Vietnamese food!!!

  • Valerie C.

nice little pho shop, the pickled lotus root salad and the fresh spring rolls were great, but the specialty spicy soup was not spicy enough, somewhat bland actually. I would return and ask for extra spice. wonderful service, definitely check it out, just be sure to ask for extra spicy if that's your thing.

We found this place within minutes after we realized Simply Tasty Thai was closed on Sundays. It's a small place and to my surprise, it was packed. Service was great and the food too! Another great Thai spot for us in that area. We ate all our food

  • Jane R.

Absolutely wonderful. This restaurant has extremely high quality traditional Vietnamese food. It is very clean and also had great service. This is a family owned restaurant with the father as the chef. We were a party of 8 and everyone ordered something different and everyone was more than happy with their choices. Usually I would expect food of this quality to take a long time but we were our entrees within 1mins of ordering. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

    (5)
  • Erin C.

What can I say...pho-nomenal Pho!! You can taste that good quality ingredients were used and that the pho was made with love :-) The egg rolls were good too and the staff were very friendly. We are looking forward to our next visit.

This is the best pho/vietnamese restaurant in Jacksonville. Located in an unassuming shopping mall in Mayport, this restaurant is run by a Vietnamese family. I've never actually eaten in the restaurant (the restaurant itself is small and clean, but you aren't missing anything with atmosphere). They do a good job with the to-go orders. Even with a complicated menu, we have never had any mess-ups and have probably gotten to-go from here about 20 times. The pho is perfect (not too salty and with wonderful flavor), and when you get it to-go, everything is separated so it all stays fresh and you can add or leave out whatever you want. We always order the same thing. Dumplings or spring rolls for an appetizer, the B3 - Rice Vermicelli w/ grilled chicken and pork, and the P9 - Noodle soup w/ rare steak and well done brisket. It is absolutely enough food for two people to eat dinner and always fills us up (usually with some left over). If you are a Vietnamese fan, this is a MUST try. Don't even both with Bowl of Pho!

  • Caroline B.

My husband and I had take out here tonight and were NOT disappointed. It was DELICIOUS! We had the pork spring roll appetizer that was delicious. My husband had the beef roll appetizer as his entree, it was fabulous! I had the pork vermicelli with an egg roll and it was fantastic! We can't wait to make this a regular favorite restaurant

Best bun around - this place is a family owned awesome place- the food is crazy fresh and crazy delicious!

    (5)
  • Robert G.

Good but definitely not great. The spring rolls were served cold and were not cut in half as mentioned by other reviewers. They were good but we have never had cold spring rolls before. Maybe this is normal for the Vietnamese. The Bahn mi (sandwich) tasted good but was very skimpy on the meat (pork). The pickled cucumber on the sandwich was especially good and refreshing though. The Spicy Hue crab soup was OK but what was supposed to be a "crab ball" ended up being two slices of what I can only describe as a tasteless "mystery meat". The crab was "krab", not real crab so we would order a different soup the next time (like maybe the flank steak without the tripe lol).

Happen to drive by this little joint and had to try it! I am a big pho fan, but I am picky. It is definitely small, more of a family owned hole in the wall compared to Bowl of Pho. We had 6 people in our group and they had to put some tables together for us. The guy was very nice and polite and so was the lady, probably his mom? They did have a variety on their menu. I had the pho with everything in it. My husband had the S1, the spicy one. He really enjoyed it, matter of fact, he said it was the best he's had. My 2 cousin and I had the same and we finished our bowls, down to the last drop of broth. It was very flavorful! My husband and I went back again since it was closer and it was a good experience. I'd definitely recommend this place, preferably with a small group since it's just a few people working, the family.

The best food, the best people, and by far the best Vietnamese spot in town! We could eat there every single day of the week and never try everything on their huge menu but now that we have found our favorites we have a hard time trying anything new. The grilled pork rice vermicelli is to die for and the Pho is PERFECT whether you have it with rare steak, beefballs, or shrimp you simply can't go wrong! The very friendly staff will make you comfortable even if you've never had Vietnamese before. They can help you decide what to order and make sure you love it! Don't forget to try the Boba tea, my favorite is passionfruit!!!

  • Katherine G.

The only thing that I would improve I'd the decor. I could live on the spring rolls alone. The fried tofu and grilled chicken spring rolls are a must-try. Iced unsweetened green tea is perfect with the assortment of spicy sauces. :D

This is a small, family run place hidden in Mayport. It's easy to miss. I've been here a few times and would go more often if it was closer to where I live. I had a small bowl of pho, spring rolls, and the chicken and seafood special fried rice. I like how this place does not use MSG (after eating so much pho, you will be able to tell which has MSG). I also liked how they included cilantro, culantro, and red onions rather than having to ask for cilantro. The spring rolls were good too...kind of hard to mess this up. The fried rice is smaller portion than I expected, but worth it! They use real pieces of white chicken meat that are decently sized and real shrimp! It's the fresh shrimp that is not frozen and found in the frozen food aisle of a supermarket. The only thing that bothered me was that it was kind of hot in there. However, I went when its 95 degrees outside and ate hot noodle soup. Aside from that, there is plenty of parking and the wait is never too long.

I'm originally from San Diego, and when I got stationed out in Mayport I knew I had to find a pho restaurant to get my fix. Pho Viet is great. Awesome service and really quick too, especially if you don't have much time for lunch. I'm picky about pho broth and their broth is delicious. The only reason why they lose one star is because their portion size could be bigger for their vermicelli noodle dishes.

  • Holly P.

This has got to be the best Pho in jax! Full of meat, thick flavorful broth, they bring you a big plate of sprouts and herbs to add to your soup, and the service is just amazing. My second favorite thing on the menu is the bahn mi. If I could get them to give me a pho bowl sized portion of that grilled pork I'd be the happiest woman on the planet. Id have to eat one handed and fight off my boys with the other though... I dont know what they do in that kitchen, but the good lord placed his hands on that cook and gave him a double dose of something! It is delicious! Im so glad I live close enough to go whenever I want.

News Flash! The restaurant has been redecorated and now it has ambiance! The food just keeps getting better! Don't pass up this little neighborhood family owned gem. Some Mayport Road restaurants have it going on!

The pho tastes good. Not the best I ever had but definitely worth a try, their fried shrimp is what I always go for.

  • Danielle H.

My food was so good I totally forgot to take a picture! I have only ordered the B3 from here--rice noodles, grilled pork, chicken, pieces of egg rolls, veggies, in a light fish sauce (doesn't take like fish). Served like a cold salad, it's refreshing and hearty. Even my mom who was skeptical of Vietnamese food said, "oh! I like the way the meat is flavored!" One of my favorite spots to hit up in Jax for a meal that is flavorful and affordable, but won't weigh you down.

    (4)
  • Amelia C.

Absolutely worth a try. The broths in both the Pho and the Egg Noodle Soup are so delicate and flavorful. The best I've had in any city, including Boston, NYC and LA. All the toppings and ingredients are extremely fresh. The space itself is bare bones, but the service is friendly and eager to please. The smell alone when you walk into the restaurant is a great indicator of what is going on in the kitchen, absolute bliss! All the grilled meats are phenomenal as well. The prices make it legitimate to risk trying non traditional dishes like the lotus root salad(yum!). We usually opt to do takeout, which is quick and always accurate.

So we walked in and the lady just stared at us until I said table for 2. Then we waited till the table got cleaned out. I grabbed my own menu and sat down. After about 8 minutes she asked us what we want to drink. And we asked her if we have lunch special and she just walked away. So we thought she was going to get us the lunch special menu but no. She comes back asking us if we want to order. Seriously. They take forever. I'm starving. I would not come back here just because of there customer service.

  • Anthony R.

Remember, three stars is "good" on Yelp! My wife and I dined here and found the food pretty good, even worthy of four stars. The place needs cleaning badly. The table and condiments were sticky and greasy. The general cleanliness of the store is wanting. Prices were a bit high, my wife and I had simple noodle dishes and the total was about $28. You can do better for less, but again, the food was delicious.

  • Lananh L.

Hands down best vietnamese cuisine in town! Although it's a bit of a drive it's so worth it. Family owned and operated, whom are very courteous and friendly. Everything is cooked to perfection and spices are just right. The soups are extra savory and is just awesome deliciousness!! I've had pretty much everything on the menu and you really can't go wrong with anything.

My first time to a Viet Restaurant and i could not have done any better in my book. I walked in and told them i had never had Viet food before can you suggest they gave gave Stir Fry with Noodles (Rice with Beef, Pork, Chicken and Spicy). Then I wish I had asked them which soup but it was made with Egg noodles and Lots of fresh Veggies and Pork and Spicy, LOVED IT but huge if you order soup make it your main course!

Delious! This place is wonderful, fell in love at first bite. Located off of Mayport road in a small semi rundown strip mall, this place doesn't look like much from the outside. But the food is fabulous. So definitely give it a try. It's run by a friendly Vietnamese family, overall good service. Chicken and pork with rice noodles are great, along with the rare steak and brisket Pho and spring rolls and dumplings. Those are usually my girlfriend and my go to when ordering from there and the serving size is definitely more than enough. If you are out at the beach and looking for great Pho, then make this your choice. Not the best location but hands down better than the other option of Bowl of Pho about a mile away.

  • Pete R.

Food at this restaurant was made of fresh ingredients and prepared with excellent taste. Not a place to take a first time date, nor good for impressing upscale people, the food was honestly good. The vegetarian spring rolls were excellent. So was the egg noodle seafood soup. Menu has variety of noodle soups to offer, including beef noodle soup. They are popular for their noodle soups.

    (5)
  • Callie P.

Good food and for a good price! The closest Vietnamese place to where I live, so I frequently order take-out. I always order the noodle soup, and tried the seafood one for the first time. Impressed by the "seafood meatball"...yummy!

I've heard Pho Viet is the best Vietnamese food around, so yesterday I made the trek to good ol' Mayport to find out for myself. Upon entering, I was first and foremost surprised at the tiny size of the restaurant. It's a very simple one-room affair with no more than seven or eight tables. That's cool, I like a good hole in the wall. It didn't take me long to order because I came with a craving for Bahn Mi, a Vietnamese baguette sandwich make with chicken, beef, or pork and pickled cucumbers, carrots and cilantro. As anyone who reads my reviews is well aware, I always go pork, and this lunch was no exception. We started with the Spring Rolls as an appetizer, and I was surprised when they came out looking like what I know as summer rolls. No fried goodness here, just fresh, fresh veggies and shrimp in a rice paper roll. Actually, now I kind of remember that these are called spring rolls in Viet cuisine. Either way, they were tasty, especially when dipped in the generous side of peanut sauce. Good start, but I was ready for the main munch. The sandwich came out looking huge and delicious, a steal at only $4! I bit into the warm baguette and the flavors of tender, marinated pork and pickled veggies immediately twirled together scrumptiously. And wow, the bread! So warm and soft. Always the yeast enthusiast, I had to ask where they got it. My server told me "Publix" matter of factly. Hmmp. Makes sense. Stuff was good! Halfway through I had to pick the fresh jalapenos off my sandwich because I'm a baby about spice, but other than that it was fantastic. I had a great, and VERY cost-efficient lunch at Pho Viet. I need to get back and try the rest of their expansive menu, but I see why they have such reputable word of mouth in these parts.

Yummmmmmmmmmm! It's a great place to eat in the area.....family style business with great service. :) The special banh mi, rice vermicelli with the grill pork chops, and the Bo luc lac-Vietnamese shaken beef are what my coworkers and I always get there during our lunch break. Food comes fast and delicious! Oh yeah....the vegetables have always been fresh and they don't have a problem giving you more, I can't say that for some of the others places.....smh! PHO VIET has my approval - definitely a must try and worth it! I am Pho Viet real! ;)

After Katie C.'s review, I just HAD to try this place. I love Bahn mi and spring rolls, and am picky about both. First of all, I couldn't stop salivating as I slowly read the menu items. My bf and I kept looking at the Yelp pictures and menu to decide what we wanted to try. We opted to go simple this first round: Drinks: vietnamese lemonade. I'm not sure how this was supposed to be a lemonade when there were obvious lime slices in my drink. Nonetheless, I didn't question it because it was quite delicious! :) Tasted almost like limeade. It took a while for them to make it because they had to actually squeeze the lemons / limes. Appetizer: spring rolls. You get 2 rolls. They are cut in half so it looks like 4 small rolls. It comes with a peanut dipping sauce. I personally like to add some of the chili sauce with the peanut sauce to give it a kick! :) Lunch: bahn mi with pork and special noodle soup. The bahn mi was good, but not the best I've ever had. However, for $4, I'll get it again :) The soup that my bf ordered was delicious! I couldn't stop eating it. I felt like a lil piggy eating his soup AFTER I finished my sub. LOL They gave a side of fresh sprouts and basil leaves to add to the soup, which added a wonderful layer of complexity and flavor. A lil info about the environment. The restaurant is situated in a strip mall (same side as Nick the Greek). The seating area is small. They had about 8 tables that fit 4 people per table. 2 of those tables were situated in the middle of the room to accommodate bigger parties. The tables were already outfitted with all your essentials (sriracha sauce, hoisin sauce, fish sauce, soy sauce, hot sauce, chili sauce, chop sticks, soup spoons, and napkins). They also have a TV, which was convenient because we got to watch the first quarter of the Jags football game :) Not sure if anyone noticed, but they have a small altar by the register. Educational info: "The Vietnamese attach great importance to two traditional family obligations: to care for their parents in their old age and to worship them after death. In each Vietnamese family has at least one altar on which there are the pictures of their ancestors. Family members worship their ancestor because they think parents after death will go to live in another world and this altar is the place where the ancestors' soul live in. As a result, every day, Vietnamese people not only lay the table for meal but they also lay the food on the altar for the belief that those ancestors will have a meal with them." Amazing, authentic and very well priced. I eat here almost once a week. The pho is some of the best I have ever had. The fresh spring rolls are excellent. The bahn mi is also amazing .

This is the kind of place locals would call a hidden gem! I went there by myself and couldn't wait to take my wife. Pho Viet is a small unassuming place. The pho and rice vermicelli is to die for, we get the grilled pork, shrimp & meatballs. It's always amazing we literally crave it atleast once a week. The flavored are authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Also try the stuffed steak rolls! If you get soft drinks request a bottle instead of a can (they don't have fountain drinks) as you will get a 20oz instead of a 12oz for the same price. We love this place!

I love this restaurant. My husband and I live in Atlantic Beach and eat here about once a week. The pho is delicious, but we try not to get complacent and order the same thing - the variety of the menu is worth sampling. (Pains me to see people come in and order fried egg rolls and fried rice as their meal when there are so many more fresh, delightful flavors to be had.) Owned and operated by a sweet Vietnamese family who always make us feel special when we dine there. And they've recently renovated the restaurant with new paintings and lighting that offers a softer atmosphere. This is a casual, family-run restaurant with meals made to order - sit back, relax and try new things ;). Highly recommended.

As the pho restaurants become more ubiquitous in Jax it's always hard to determine which ones to try. What makes Pho Viet stand on its own is its unique twist to traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Maybe it's a reflection to the owner's background being from central Vietnam. The ancient royal dynasty was in this region within the city of Hue. It played a huge role as a facilitator of avant-garde dishes which influenced the region's foods and made the area unique relative to other regions' cooking within the country. Thankfully those dishes withstood the test of time. With that said, I was excited to try their beef grilled spring rolls. It was filled with the usual fare of fresh veggies; bean sprouts, vermicelli noodles (thin round kind), red leaf lettuce, & beef. However, what truly made this appetizer more unique was the small very thin egg roll encased within the rice wrap. I was just salivating at the thought of the two contradicting ingredients. I bit through the entire roll, bursting forth the fresh crisp veggies and the tender marinated grilled beef. The soft, crisp, tender contents accompanied by the fried crunchy asian chive egg roll lathered my palate in a kaleidoscope of textures and flavors. It was food porn at it's finest. I also decided to give their Hue spicy beef noodle dish (bun bo hue) another try. It was an improvement compared to the last. The broth was bland on its own but the kick of the fresh chili oil paste with shrimp paste that coupled the meal helped supplement what was lacking. I also added a little fish sauce, which definitely helped. Unfortunately their wasn't the usual pork trotter or black pudding. This was understandable considering not many people are aware of this dish and novices that do try it would be hesitant to eat it, if they came across these two particular ingredients. Maybe only a true foodie would be able to try this dish at it's most authentic state. As I've stated before this dish is really good but it's not for the faint at heart. Maybe if more people are open to this dish then they'll provide this dish in it's natural habitat ;P. My better half had the rice vermicelli noodles with egg rolls & grilled beef. It was plentiful & flavorful. The egg rolls are just how our moms made them. The dish was accompanied with loads of fresh red leaf lettuce, bean sprouts, basil, and cilantro which helped offset the fried egg rolls, making it a lot lighter on the stomach. Overall, the restaurant always seems to surprise me with their special take on traditional appetizers. Their flavorful dry or soup based rice vermicelli noodle dish are the reason why we still drive 20 mins. just to eat here.

Best Vietnamese in the area. The spicy soup is like a dream in liquid form. The menu is extensive with lots of interesting choices, there are these little fried beef roll-ups that I would seriously drive to Mayport and eat every night if I could. They make their chili-garlic sauce in house and it is awesome. I found the staff to be very gracious and helpful. It's just a great place to eat.

First time I went -- I passed the place. You wouldn't know where it is unless you were looking for it ... but it's totally worth finding! The pineapple boba was yummy. The shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce was delicious! Shaken beef wasn't as tender as I wanted, but good and flavorful. Salad was very refreshing! Pho with rare steak and flank was so yum! Loved everything. Service was nice and friendly as well. I will definitely be back! =)

This is the best Vietnamese food I have had in the South! The people that eat at and work in this restaurant are super friendly, so it makes for an all round enjoyable cheap eats place!

Not that impressed but will go back again because it's close by. I had the shrimp rolls and didn't like the taste or the mushy consistency. Also had the Shrimp Pho bowl and the shrimp were big and cooked perfectly but the broth was weak and tasteless. Had to add a lot of soy etc. to give it any taste. Also stopped by on a semi-busy Monday night for a pho take-out and was told it would take 45 minutes to be ready. Doesn't make sense when everything in pho is already cooked and just needs to be bagged up. Whatever.
